Early Sample for Glide App

This is guide your through a brief introduction into building your on "App" using Glide and Google Sheets. Most of you will use Chrome, where it works well. I have not done much with this in Safari. You will use 2 tabs or 2 windows.

Before we begin, note that there is occasionally a delay between when you do something in Glide and when it shows up on your App.

1. Click on this link of a Google Sheet that I have created.... make a copy. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1POlSPgNAY2sX5b4wGzOLNnBA-cn-wF0EZFL3cqRSkOg/copy You must use one of Google's spreadsheets. The sample I have created for you has 2 tabs. There is nothing special about mine; it is just a starting point for you. Rename your spreadsheet your first name.

2. Open this link... https://go.glideapps.com/ and then log in with your Google account... If it asks for Glide to access your account, allow.

3. Click on the blue-outlined-square-with-the-+-sign in Glide, and you will get a list of all of your Google Sheets projects (if you have more than just the new one.) Click on the new one you gave your name to and click Select.

4. At this point we are "in" your new App and I will demonstrate some features that you can watch on the TV to do some work on your own. You can alter the data in my Google Sheet and replace it with your own words or photo URLs and those will appear in your App.

5. Any photos or videos that you include must have a URL. The best place to store them is in your Google Drive account, but you must be sure to Share them with Anyone with the Link.
