Accessing Online Learning
Although most of the online learning is delivered through Microsoft Teams, this is accessed by pupils through Glow. This can be accessed not only on a PC or Mac but mobile phones, tablets and even online game platforms as you will see below. It may be that for most of the online learning you will only ever use Teams but it is important to be able to access your Glow email too if you need to contact a member of staff or they need to send you work to your school email address.
There are different ways you can access both Glow and Teams but there is a lot of help out there, some of which you will find highlighted below. Do not hesitate your teachers or the school if there is something you are unsure about, or have a look on the internet yourselves because there are lots of different websites out there to help. You can choose between videos or step by step guides, whichever suits.
Many of the guides below have come from our Dundee online learning hub

Some helpful hints
If your teacher has uploaded files for you to use or answer questions in the file section, it is better to open the file, save a copy to your own computer or device and work on your saved file. This can then be uploaded or you can take a photo of it or upload it in the discussion thread using the attach button that appears under your conversation thread. Another alternative would be to answer the questions or start the work on a blank document and upload that. There have been occasions where pupil work has appeared on the original file.
To get the best use from PowerPoint and other files that might be in your files or assignments section, click on the three dots next to the file name and click download. This means you will be able to see and hear all the different parts of the file.
All pupils have access to Office 365 via Glow. This gives access to Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, Sway and other applications. This can be used online or installed for free on the device being used.
To access this log on to Glow and search for Office 365 using the search bar at the top. Click on the tile that appears and follow instructions to access Office 365 or install on your device if you do not already have it.
