All About Me
Hello, My name is Jamie Liechty. I am so excited to be at Northeast as the Behavior Technician. I have been teaching for 20+ years in various settings. My experience and knowledge as a Special Education Teacher have opened up the opportunity for this role.
I am a Colorado native. I was born in Englewood. I attended college at Western State and finished my degree at Metropolitan State University. I taught for 15 years in the Cherry Creek School District. I am married and have 7 amazing children ranging in age from 30 to 10 as well as a new granddaughter. I currently have 2 boys at PHS and my youngest is finishing her last year of elementary school. We are a very active family. We spend a lot of our time in sports and extracurricular activities. My junior is actively involved in baseball and my freshman will be conquering the football field this year. My youngest has fallen in love with Basketball. During my “free” time you can usually find me on the diamond or the 50 yard line 😉 We also enjoy traveling. I am currently leaning how to sail and I love spending time on my paddle board in the summers. My favorite vacation destinations include a beach, sun, sand, and a good book!
I am very excited for this upcoming year. I have moved into a larger space, which gives more opportunities to provide support for more students. I enjoy working with a wide variety of students. I have a passion for meeting their social/emotional needs. I believe in building strong relationships with students and families. It takes a village to raise our children.
