Interventionist
Interventionist
Hello Northeast! I am so excited to be our interventionist this year! This will be my 15th year of teaching, and I cannot imagine doing anything else. I studied to become an educator at UCCS with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I was an interventionist my first couple of years teaching and have continued to mentor and help teachers with tier 2 interventions. I have experience with training teachers in a phonics curriculum, mentoring teachers within tier 2 instruction, as well as collecting and analyzing data to meet the needs of all students.
Within the classroom, I hold students to high expectations and motivate them to do their best. I love to help students thrive in areas where they are less confident and show them that they CAN do it. I believe in helping to create great minds and curiosity, but also emphasize great citizenship and respect inside and outside of the classroom. I cannot wait!
