About Me
Hello, everyone! My name is Brad Rotherham. I am a first-year teacher, and I am so happy to be here at Northeast teaching SSN! During the 2021-2022 school year, I worked as an educational assistant in the SSN department before leaving to pursue a degree and teaching certification in special education at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
I was born in Louisiana but moved to Colorado in 2005 and have lived in Castle Rock for as long as I can remember. I come from a family of educators, including a principal, a history teacher, an art teacher, a physical education teacher, an educational assistant, and now a special education teacher. I was raised, educated, and supported by DCSD throughout my life, and I am so glad to be a part of this community.
Outside the classroom, I love spending time outdoors—taking walks, camping, and playing disc golf—as well as enjoying indoor activities like reading, writing, and playing video games or D&D.
My goal as an educator is to promote independence, confidence, communication, and inclusion in my classroom and throughout the school environment.
