Makayla Kaufman - AM Kindergarten Teacher

It is Makayla Kaufman's second year of teaching. It will be her second year teaching Kindergarten at Eldorado Elementary. She received her teaching license along with an endorsement in Culturally/Linguistically Diverse Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She is a life-long learner and believes in incorporating an exciting and positive learning environment within the classroom.

Heather Harris - Kindergarten Teacher

Heather Harris has been in education for 24 years. She earned a interdivisional major from Regis University in 1993, with a focus on elementary education K-6. Heather began her teaching career in Adams County District 50 teaching K-4th grade. She continued in early education until she came to Douglas County School District in 2013 as a substitute teacher with experience teaching K-6th grade. She has been at EE teaching Kindergarten since 2015.

Christine Kern - Kindergarten Teacher

Christine Kern has been working in Douglas County School District for eighteen years. She worked as a Kindergarten Educational Assistant for five years and has been a Kindergarten teacher for the past thirteen years at Eldorado Elementary. In 2008, she earned a B.A in Interdisciplinary Studies/Literacy and Teacher certification from Adams State University.

At Eldorado she is a representative on the EE Technology Committee, the EE PTO- Parent Teacher Organization, the BLT- Building Leadership team, and the Eldorado Community Garden. She is inspired to create a positive, enthusiastic, warm and caring learning environment that establishes lifelong learners.

Martha Wright - Kindergarten Educational Assistant

Martha is very excited to become a part of the Eldorado family and EE’s awesome kindergarten team! She has been a teacher and an educational assistant in California, Georgia, and Colorado. Most of her experience has been in K-3 with kindergarten being her true love. Working in kindergarten is exhausting & challenging and funny & fulfilling! When not in school, Martha spends her time reading, gardening, walking, and traveling but her main hobby is family genealogy research ~ family is everything!
