Ms. Carpenter taught fifth grade in DCSD for seven years.  This will be her third year teaching 6th grade. Ms. Carpenter previously taught in Castle Pines, and was involved with Girls on the Run, student council, writing club, talent show, and various committees while at that school.  Additionally, over the past couple of years, Ms. Carpenter has worked through professional development for differentiation within the classroom. She has experience teaching a wide range of students, especially those identified as Gifted and Talented.  Although she is a Colorado native, Ms. Carpenter received her elementary education degree from Seattle Pacific University. When she is not teaching, she loves to read, craft, and travel. Ms. Carpenter is looking forward to joining the Eldorado family and continuing to challenge and inspire lifelong learners.

Mrs. Maynard began teaching fifth grade in 1992 after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin.  Since that time, she has taught second through sixth grade and loved them all!  She has been at Eldorado since it opened in 2001.  She took a break in 2004 to stay home to raise her two children, Grace and Joseph.  Mrs. Maynard returned to Eldorado in 2009 and has loved being back in the classroom.  In addition to teaching, she is part of the Student Council team and also serves on the Eldorado Leadership Committee.
