Chamber Orchestra

Chamber Orchestra is open to students in grades 10-12 and is for students who already have extensive experience playing a string instrument.

This class focuses on various styles of music and advanced playing techniques. Students are expected to practice and prepare the music outside of class. Private lessons are strongly recommended.

Students perform frequently throughout the community and school in additional to all concert performances throughout the year. Several students from this course have been selected for the Continental League Honor Orchestra, All State Orchestra, and Western States Honor Orchestra.

For concert attire, men must purchase their own tuxedo. Women must purchase the formal black concert dress which is ordered through the school.

For this course it is strongly recommended that students have their own instrument and also that they take private lessons. School instruments are available to rent for $50 per semester.
