Our Director

On behalf of the orchestra program at DCHS, I am so proud to be a Huskie! DCHS is a school with a rich history of traditions and we have a wonderful community of students, parents, and staff!

This will be my fourth year directing the orchestra program and eighth year of teaching. I love working with amazing students and parents in the Douglas County community and feel fortunate to live and work in such a beautiful place.

I am originally from Florida and studied Music Education at the University of Florida. I taught middle school for two years in Orlando, Florida before moving to Colorado in 2013 to study at CU-Boulder for my Master of Music Education degree. I began at DC in 2015 and currently teach Orchestra, Piano I & II, and IB Music.

I am a violinist and was concertmaster of the Denver Pops Orchestra from 2016-2018. I previously freelanced with several orchestras and chamber groups throughout central Florida. In my free time I love to travel, to hike and enjoy the amazing nature in Colorado, and to spend time with my husband and our two dogs.

All students are invited to partake in orchestra at DCHS. We have many rewarding musical opportunities for all students. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can answer any questions about our orchestra program or how to get involved in music at Douglas County.
