Pit Orchestra

The DC Music Department is proud to support our colleagues in the Theater program to organize and provide live music for our spring musical productions. This ensemble rehearses throughout the late fall and early spring semesters, initially independently then as a part of the broader theater production. The instrumentation for this ensemble will vary depending on the production, but can consist of a variety of String, Wind, Percussion, and Rhythm Section instrumentalists. 

Auditions for the Pit Orchestra are held in late October, after the conclusion of the Marching Band season. Rehearsals typically start in the month of November. In addition to students, we also welcome talented amateurs from the Castle Rock and broader DC community to join us.
