Beth Cushman
Elementary Physical Education
Welcome to Physical Education 2024-25!
My name is Beth Cushman and I teach Physical Education. This is my seventh year teaching at Cloverleaf. I am excited for the opportunity to work with the students again this year. Before I started teaching at PE at Cloverleaf I was a math teacher out of state for three years. I have been coaching high school basketball for over 20 years and I coached soccer for three years. I am currently coaching at Castle View High School as the girl's junior varsity basketball coach.
I am married and have four kids. My daughter, Hannah is working at Exact Sciences in Madison, Wisconsin. My son Cade is working at ADP in Denver. My other two boys are in college. Zach is a senior attending the University of Oklahoma. Luke is a sophomore at Boise State University. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I have been playing a lot of pickleball in my free time.
Here are some of the Physical Education Lessons we will do this year:
Motor Skills (locomotor and non-locomotor)
Jump Rope
Sport Stacking
Kickball
Disc golf
Pickleball/Tennis
Badminton
Parachute
Bowling
Health and Wellness (hydration, nutrition, and heart health)
Team Sports (soccer, volleyball, basketball, flag football, handball, baseball, hockey, and lacrosse)

Please have your student wear clothes and shoes (close-toed) that are comfortable for physical activities. They will have time to change if they would like to bring shoes in their backpack. We will be going outside if the weather permits, so please apply sunscreen at home if needed and bring a water bottle.
Please contact me at beth.cushman@dcsdk12.org if you have any questions or concerns.
