Student Gmail accounts are issued by DCPS and are required to login to the school issued Chromebook. Upon receiving a DCPS student Gmail account, your child will also have access to Google Suite for Education apps, found in the apps menu on the Chromebook, and a personal Gmail account to send emails to his/her teacher.

To ensure the safety and security of the student Gmails received, the sending and receiving of emails is limited to only Gmail accounts for DCPS.

Although Gmail is available to be used offline (without internet access), the Gmail will not be sent unless the Chromebook is connected to a WIFI network or Hot Spot.
