Mr. Bailey is a Physics teacher from Southampton, England. His career has included roles as Head of Year, Deputy Head of Science, and Raising Standards Leader.

Mr. Bailey holds an NPQ in Leading Behaviour and Culture. He uses this expertise to foster a positive learning environment where students feel supported and challenged to succeed. As a Science specialist, he encourages students to develop a passion for the subject by connecting his lessons to everyday life, promoting inquiry and critical thinking.

Outside of school, Mr. Bailey enjoys staying active and has competed at a high level in both squash and hockey, as well as being a regular at the gym. He loves travelling and experiencing different cultures, which enriches his perspective and fuels his enthusiasm for life and learning.

Mr Miller is an English teacher from Manchester who believes literacy builds confidence, creativity, and cultural understanding. He holds a Master’s in Literature, Culture, and Identity and an NPQ in Leading Literacy. His teaching develops articulate, reflective learners able to engage with challenging texts and ideas.

A strong advocate for equity and inclusion, Mr Miller has led initiatives focused on anti-racism, gender equality, and student wellbeing, often using literature to inspire discussion. Before teaching, he trained as a midwife, shaping his calm, compassionate pastoral approach.

Outside school, he enjoys philosophy, visual arts, cycling, music, cooking, and travel, and values connecting classroom learning to the wider world.

Mr Handley, originally from the North West of England, graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2004 with a BA (Hons) in Design & Technology with Secondary Education. After 13 years teaching in London, he moved to Thailand in 2017 as the founding Head of Design Technology at Harrow International School Bangkok. He joined Denla British School in 2023 as a key member of the Design Technology and Art department.

With extensive experience teaching Years 6 to 13, Mr Handley is particularly passionate about Product Design and integrating technologies such as laser cutting, 3D printing, and digital modelling. He is also an experienced tutor who supports students through key educational transitions and places strong emphasis on wellbeing and positive relationships.

Outside the classroom, Mr Handley enjoys golf, rugby, fishing, and spending time with his family exploring Thailand’s beaches and outdoor spaces.

Miss Bunyan is originally from England and holds a BSc (Hons) in Sport Coaching and Physical Education, alongside a PGCE in Secondary Physical Education. She has taught PE and Games across both primary and secondary settings, including within specialist SEN education and independent schools in the UK and Australia. She is passionate about creating inclusive and engaging lessons that help pupils develop confidence, resilience and a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.

In her own time, Miss Bunyan is passionate about health and fitness where she enjoys running, going to the gym and has recently discovered a passion for playing football. Following a vegan lifestyle, Miss Bunyan loves travelling and experiencing new cultures and foods from around the world.

Mr Drake has always had a keen interest in science, computing and mathematics. He studied for a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics at The Nottingham Trent University, graduating in 2002, before completing his PGCE there the following year. Since qualifying, he has taught Mathematics in a range of schools and colleges across Nottingham and Derby in the United Kingdom.

In 2016, Mr Drake moved with his family to Guangzhou, China, where he spent five years teaching Mathematics and serving as a Head of Year. He then moved to Moscow, Russia in 2021, continuing to teach Mathematics while also leading a year group. Mr Drake joined DBS in August 2023 as a Teacher of Mathematics and became Assistant Head of Years 9–11 at the start of the 2024/25 academic year.

In his spare time, Mr Drake enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, and takes part in various sports whenever he has the opportunity. His favourite sports are field hockey, road cycling and skiing.
