Miss Taylor is a Business Education teacher originally from Aberdeen in Scotland. Having studied Management at the University of St Andrews she has a diverse range of business knowledge. This will be her second year at DBS teaching business.
She has been a Y7 form tutor this academic year and is committed to supporting students personal growth both academically and socially. Helping them make the most of all of the opportunities the school offers. She encourages pupils to be inquisitive, make connections to the world around them, and have confidence in sharing their ideas.
Outside of school Miss Taylor enjoys traveling and exploring new places.

Ms Palairet holds a BA in English Literature and Chinese Language and Literature, and gained her PGCE from Massey University. Following a scholarship to study in China, she went into the Masters program at Auckland University and studied Chinese Language, Literature, Classics and Film.
Ms Palairet is interested in how children learn languages and the role of oracy and storytelling. She loves learning languages, reading and travel, and has lived in six asian countries. As a qualified personal trainer and vegan, she is committed to a healthy lifestyle. You may see her training in the gym or running on the local roads before school.

Y7B | BENNET HACKETT
Mr Hackett is a Maths specialist and is a Year 7 Tutor as well as the House Leader for Sandringham. He originates from Lancaster in the NW of England and studied at the prestigious University of Edinburgh. After spells fuelling his love of travelling and exploring world cultures, Mr Hackett arrived in Thailand to begin his teaching career. Mr Hackett has taught and been Head of Maths at a number of Thai schools working in their successful International programmes.

Y7C | REI ARAI
Mrs Arai studied Japanese language education for non-native speakers at Dokkyo University. After graduating, she taught Japanese to students of various ages in countries including Australia, Thailand, Singapore, and Japan for nearly 20 years. She enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing Japanese language and culture with them.
In her free time, Mrs Arai enjoys travelling to different places, trying delicious local food, relaxing in nature, and experiencing new cultures. She also enjoys watching her boys play football at weekends.
As a form tutor, Mrs Arai hopes to create a supportive and positive environment where students feel safe, respected, and encouraged to do their best.

Y7D | DANIEL GATES
Mr Gates is a passionate and experienced Physical Education teacher with over 10 years of teaching in the UK and Malaysia. He holds a degree in Sports Coaching and Sports Education from the University of Gloucestershire and a PGCE in Physical Education from the University of Southampton. He has held leadership roles including Head of PE in both countries and Head of Year in the UK.
Dedicated to student wellbeing, Mr Gates promotes a lifelong love of physical activity. Outside the classroom, he enjoys running, swimming, football, and cricket. A devoted Southampton FC supporter, he combines personal enthusiasm with professional commitment to inspire students to lead healthy, active lives.

Y7E | ANDREW BODEN
Originally from Northern Ireland, Mr Boden studied Computing at the University of Ulster and completed his PGCE at the University of Greenwich. Since beginning his teaching career in 2013, he has taught students from KS2 to KS5 in both UK and international schools, with experience in Qatar, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
Most recently, he was Head of Computer Science and led digital strategy at an independent school in Surrey. He is passionate about helping students develop the skills to thrive in a digital world, promoting creativity, problem-solving, and real-world application. His classroom ethos is built on mutual respect, encouragement, and a growth mindset.
Mr Boden is a keen traveller who has visited over 50 countries, in his free time he also enjoys football and badminton.
