ACADEMIC YEAR 2026/27
Mrs. Harker joined DBS in 2026 as a Physical Education teacher. She graduated from the University of Brighton with a degree in Physical Education with QTS and brings over 13 years of teaching experience in the UK. Throughout her career, she has held a range of leadership positions, including Deputy Head of Physical Education, Head of Dance, and Head of Year.
Passionate about both sport and dance, Mrs. Harker previously danced professionally before going on to become head coach of a women’s rugby team. She is dedicated to nurturing students’ individual passions while inspiring a lifelong love of learning. Alongside developing sporting excellence, she places strong emphasis on the unseen fundamentals- resilience, teamwork, confidence, and discipline- ensuring every student in her care is equipped with the skills and qualities needed to thrive in all aspects of their future lives.

My Tock joined DBS in 2022 after 15 years of working as a teacher in Thailand, Oman and the UK.
He is experienced in teaching IGCSE and A Level and holds a degree in Mathematics from Nottingham Trent University.
He enjoys travelling, watching Sumo and puzzles.

Y10B | MR TERRY YAU
Mr Yau holds a degree in Creative Music and Technology from Brunel University, London. He worked as a Sound and Lighting Theatre Technician, Radio Broadcast Technician, and Contemporary Band Coach, before completing a PGCE at Manchester Metropolitan, in association with the Royal Northern College of Music.
He worked as a Teacher of Music and Music Technology, and Instrument Tutor in the UK, before joining DBS in 2023 as an Integrated Teacher of Music and Technical Theatre Facilitator. Mr Yau is passionate about live performance, and strives to create an environment where students feel confident, supported and have fun on stage.
Outside the classroom, Mr Yau is a keen tennis, football and table tennis player, enjoys performing in bands, and loves board games and escape rooms.

Y10C | MISS DANNI AUSTIN
Miss Danni Austin will be joining DBS in August 2026 as Teacher of Psychology and is very much looking forward to becoming part of the school community and wider staff body. Originally from England, Miss Austin has previously worked at King’s College Bangkok and has experience teaching across both mainstream public schools and special educational needs settings in Surrey and Hampshire, England. She studied Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London, and the University of Sussex, specialising in Educational and Developmental Psychology.
Alongside her professional experience, Miss Austin has a longstanding interest in sport and has enjoyed both playing and coaching netball. She is also an enthusiastic reader with a passion for travel. Her recent travels have included Australia, Canada, and several countries across South-East Asia, with many more destinations and experiences still on her list to explore. Miss Austin is delighted to be joining Denla British School and looks forward to contributing to the school community. She would also like to wish everyone a pleasant and restful summer break.

Y10D | MR JOE ROLLESTON
Mr Rolleston has been teaching the Humanities for ten years. After studying Ancient & Modern History at the University of Oxford and completing a PGCE at the University of Bristol, he has taught at a number of outstanding schools in both the UK and Thailand. Alongside advocating serious scholarship, he believes in bringing learning to life with roleplays, re-enactments and other unique activities and games.
He places enormous value on extra-curricular activities and opportunities of all kinds, and believes that developing morality and knowledge must be equally prioritised. Outside of school, Mr. Rolleston has been playing rugby since he was ten years old, and also enjoys puzzles and quizzes, Dungeons and Dragons, Pokemon and travel.
