The National Workshop on, “Recent Trends in Biochemistry and Biotechnology” included various interactive sessions and hands on training through experimentation conducted by the teachers of the Department of Biochemistry, Deshbandhu college under the patronship of Dr Ajay Arora. The experiments gave an hands on experience to various areas of biochemistry like molecular biology, immunology and cell biology. Through this workshop, we aimed at creating the platform to interact with the faculties of different schools and research scholars who were part of this workshop. This workshop covered various techniques like PCR, gel electrophoresis, Dot blot etc. For the workshop, financial support was provided by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB-DST) and Punjab and Sind Bank, Deshbandhu College.
