It has been wonderful to see so many of our students involved in the extra-curricular activities we offer as well as showing their competitive spirit in the inter-house sports fixtures. I would like to make a special mention and best of luck to our U13 Girls’ football team, who have made it to the final 64 of the ESFA national cup and will be playing the game today. The final score will be posted on our PE Twitter page.

I would like to thank our Year 11s for the way they have conducted themselves for the duration of the examinations. They have impressed us immensely with their maturity and diligent manner in which they have approached their mock exams at the end of a long term. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Mrs Dorrington, Mrs Hedges and Miss Webb who managed an exemplary examination period.

We were delighted that our students were able to enjoy festive celebrations at school including Christmas Jumper Day and an array of activities in the LRC. Students also voted and donated for teachers to dress up in animal fancy dress on the final day of term. The students were delighted to see Mr Bown, Mr Maasch and Mr Whitaker dress up on the last day as a fox, octopus and a cow. All proceeds went to our chosen Charities this year, Save the Children and SEED Madagascar.

Finally, I want to thank you for your support throughout this term. I wish you a restful Christmas holiday and a happy, healthy and peaceful year in 2023.
