Week 4 Discussion

You are never at your best!!

We've discussed the importance of a growth mindset, but can changing our brain really have measurable results?

Eduardo Briseno stated in this video, "The moment we believe that success is determined by an ingrained level of ability, we will be brittle in the face of adversity." What can you say regarding this phrase? In light of Eduardo Briseno's talk, where do you see your self on the mindset graphic (above this discussion link)? Do you accept challenges or do you walk the other way? Are you intimidated by other's success or does it fuel you to do better? Describe what you notice about your own mindset as it relates to math compared to everything else. What tools do you try to use when you notice you are slipping back into a fixed mindset?
