Week 6 Discussion

Everything is Possible...even succeeding in Algebra!!

We realize that the best athletes had to overcome numerous obstacles and had to work extremely hard to get where they wanted to be. We should also realize that college students need to work extremely hard to get the college degree that they seek. Though the athlete works physically and mentally, the college student must work hard intellectually. But there is no difference in what can be attained with enough determination.

Pay close attention to the racer beginning at 1:54 who fell, but didn't give up!! Think of yourself in this class and how you WILL do the same.

Are you Motivated?

You may have fallen in the race (received a low grade on a test or two). But is the race over? The end of the semester is your finish line. Are you going to pick yourself up and push harder than you've ever pushed before to finish the race in first? Will you do everything in your power to get that A?!?! Or will you lay there banging your fists on the ground; upset at yourself, upset at others for tripping you, giving up because you think it's a lost cause?

Regardless of your current grade in the class, what do you have to say to others or what are you saying to yourself? Is it possible?
