We had a great week at school, and we are so proud of our students! 🎉

A big congratulations to our PAWsome Award winners—your hard work, positive attitude, and great choices truly make our school a wonderful place to be. Keep up the fantastic work!

We would also like to recognize the students who have been training for the morning announcements. They have been practicing their speaking skills and showing confidence and responsibility, and we are excited to see them continue to grow in this role.

Reminder for families: There is no school on Monday, January 19. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday.

🎉 Celebrating 100 Days of School! 🎉

We are excited to celebrate our 100th Day of School on Tuesday, January 28th! This special milestone honors 100 days of learning, growth, and independence.

Here’s how we’ll be celebrating:

🎨 100th Day Poster Contest (TURN POSTERS IN BY JANUARY 26TH)

Students are invited to create a poster at home or at school that reflects a 100-Day theme (examples: 100 things, 100 days smarter, 100 acts of kindness, counting by 10s to 100, or a creative child-led idea).

Posters will be displayed at school, and we will celebrate each child’s effort and creativity!

📸 100th Day Photo Booth

We’ll have a fun photo booth set up for students to enjoy! Children may wear their 100th Day outfits, hats, headbands, or accessories to capture this joyful memory. 💯📷

Black History Month Talent Showcase – Sign Up Now!

Prestonwood Montessori at E.D. Walker, in partnership with B-Fam (BIPOC Family Alliance for Montessori), presents the Black History Month Talent Showcase on Friday, February 27, from 5:30–7:00 PM at the E.D. Walker Auditorium.

✨ ALL students are welcome to participate.
Students may perform singing, dancing, poetry, instruments, comedy, spoken word, and more. Performances may be old or new, as long as they are inspired by Black artists, Black history, or Black cultural traditions.

This year’s theme, “A Century of Black History Commemorations,” honors 100 years of celebrating Black excellence through student creativity, culture, and community.

Exhibición de Talentos del Mes de la Historia Afroamericana – ¡Inscríbase Hoy!

Prestonwood Montessori en E.D. Walker, en colaboración con B-Fam (BIPOC Family Alliance for Montessori), presenta la Exhibición de Talentos del Mes de la Historia Afroamericana el viernes 27 de febrero, de 5:30 a 7:00 PM, en el Auditorio E.D. Walker.

✨ TODOS los estudiantes están invitados a participar.

Los estudiantes pueden presentar canto, baile, poesía, instrumentos, comedia, expresión oral y más. Las presentaciones pueden ser tradicionales o contemporáneas, siempre que estén inspiradas en artistas afroamericanos, la historia afroamericana o tradiciones culturales afroamericanas.

El tema de este año, “Un Siglo de Conmemoraciones de la Historia Afroamericana,” honra 100 años de celebrar la excelencia afroamericana a través de la creatividad, la cultura y la comunidad estudiantil.

Wheelie Fun Night is PWM’s version of a carnival, happening on March 28 from 2:00–5:00 PM! We’re looking for volunteers to help make it a huge success.

Join us for our first planning meeting on January 13, 2026 at 6:30 PM in the school library. We’ll get organized, assign tasks, and get the fun rolling.
