Critical reading consists of engaging with what you are reading. When you are reading a text, ask yourself questions like "what is the author trying to say?" or "what is the main argument?". By engaging in the text, you evaluate and analyze what you read.Â
Through critical reading, you are essentially reading inbetween the lines; using your judgement and not just taking what you are reading at face value.
