Hi 1st Grade!
This week we get to have two music lessons! This is the first music lesson for the week June 1-5.
Please work on these music activities for approximately 30 minutes. Have fun!
Part 1: Music Note Reminder
Watch this short video so Mrs. Kapustka can remind you about our 1st Grade Rhythms.
Rhythms tell us how long or short a note is.
The first grade rhythms are:
Ta - 1 sound on 1 beat
Titi - 2 quick sounds on 1 beat
Rest - 0 sounds on 1 beat (1 silent beat)
Part 2: Practice 1st Grade Rhythms
Below are rhythm flashcards that you have practiced before. It is good to review these rhythms so that you will not forget them.
Read the rhythms using your speaking voice.
Read the rhythms with your speaking voice and clap them with your hands at the same time.
Part 3: Practice 1st Grade Rhythms with fun songs
Play these two videos. Say the rhythms that appear in the video while you listen to these songs.
If it says 4x in the corner, that means you say the rhythm 4 times in a row.
