This past month we had fun out in the community again. Two of the low incidence classrooms went to Portillo's for lunch! The students practiced ordering their food and using appropriate behavior in a restaurant. The students did an excellent job and enjoyed their visit. We want to thank Portillo's for the most generous surprise of paying for all student and adult meals. We are very grateful for your generous support and hospitality. Thank you Portillo's!
Reading buddies started this semester! 7th grade AVID students from Mrs. Kovar's room are coming once a week to participate in Reading class. Some students read books, some listen to them read, and everyone socializes with their new friends they are making.
We celebrated 100 Days on January 31st! Students participated in many 100 Day activities such as crafts, music, APE, and counting. Students even passed out 100 Day items to the staff who participate in the Snack Delivery program. It was a fun day!
