FIVE BELOW / MOVIE THEATER
In December, students went on a community trip to Five Below. Students practiced their shopping skills by purchasing Holiday presents for their family, friends, or classmates. They were able to read a shopping list, locate items, pay for items, and use appropriate social & behavioral skills. When they returned to school, students were able to wrap their purchases. Everyone had a lot of fun.
Also in December, students went on a recreational/leisure trip to the movie theater. The students were able to order snacks from the concession stand, use appropriate social skills in the theater, and have fun with their classmates.
All low incidence classrooms celebrated the holidays with their classrooms and some friends from Beta Club. Crafts were made, games were played, and presents were handed out. Everyone had so much fun!
In addition, students participated in the all school PBIS celebration. The APE students played games with Santa (Mr. LaBrie) and Ralphie the Bunny (Mr. Schaal). Later in the day, some students watched the 8th grade boys played the staff at basketball. It was a wild time.
The snack delivery program is well on its way to success this year. Students have been busy each month filling snack orders for the teachers. They then either deliver the snacks to each classroom or pass out the snacks behind the snack counter. Keep up the great work!
