6th graders will be starting to read "The Lightning Thief" by Rick Riordan. We will follow Percy Jackson's journey as we learn about Greek Mythology. We'll be focusing on character traits, figurative language, and plot.
7th Grade ELA
7th Grade ELA
7th graders will finish reading The Giver by Lois Lowry. While students read the story, they kept track of how Jonas's perspective about his community changed throughout the novel. Students are now in the process of using their findings to complete their Quarter 2 writing summative.
Students in ELA will be creating holiday cards based on a lesson called "The Joy of Giving." These cards will be delivered to various retirement communities.

The 8th grade will read and study Holocaust literature. This email was sent by Principal LaBrie with more info.
Students will learn about idioms. To keep your kid from being behind the eight ball and to give them an ace up their sleeve, use idioms as much as possible to keep them on their toes with language skills.
