Equity Teaching Academy: Examine for Equity
“Examine for Equity” is the first course in a series of the inaugural offering of the Equity Teaching Academy. This course invites staff from D211, D220, D214 and Harper to examine their individual and institutional contexts to generate deeper awareness of issues related to educational inequities. The course is taught by a lead faculty member from the College of Education at Illinois State University, Dr. Pamela Twyman Hoff, and assisted by a facilitation team of Harper faculty who helped to refine the curriculum.
Format: Format: Online and synchronous, with one HyFlex meeting date on Tuesday, October 18 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. in F315, which can be attended either in-person or virtually. All other sessions will take place online synchronously on Tuesdays from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m
