Standards & LEARNING TARGETS

Most learning targets in SCS Band's content are guided by a balance of the 4 artistic processes from the National Core Art Standards for Music (NCASM):

The CVSD K-8 music teachers use, and often revise, a set of broad music learning targets that connect to the NCASM and fit into these 4 processes.  The "connect" process is inherently embedded in music education, so each learning target also connects to the CVU Graduation Standards/Transferable Skills.  Furthermore, our Habits of Learning targets help students connect their approach to learning across disciplines.
