Google Classroom is our main learning management system (LMS) and a Google app. It is there that students can keep track of and submit all our listening and written assignments as well as assessments and sample rubrics. Parents can have access to Google Classroom.
Google Docs is the platform that is used to share playing assessments with parents. These rubrics and narratives are very important pieces of individual feedback for the students. It is easiest to share with parents through a Google account. Expect a notification after your child's playing assessment through email near the end of each Trimester (November, March, and May).
IPS, or Interactive Practice Studio, is a downloadable software program or app that comes with the Traditions of Excellence method books. The IPS login information is located in the back of the book and requires a registration code. IPS has video lessons, adjustable accompaniments for each exercise, and practice tools that are very helpful to students.
JumpRope is our district-wide proficiency-based assessment and reporting tool. Through an online portal system, teachers create standards-based units while students and parents can view and monitor various assessments according to the larger learning targets. You will find your child's summative assessment scores using the overall CVSD music learning targets. You will also see these targets linked to our larger set of CVU graduation standards.
