Hello Trojans!
Some information on me. I grew up in Pacifica, California (most famous for Fog Fest and the Taco Bell on the beach) and graduated from Terra Nova HS. I went on to attend the University of Utah (C/O 2015), played baseball, then graduated with a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science (now Kinesiology) with a minor in nutrition. I earned my credential from Cal State University- East Bay. Prior to CVHS I worked in multiple industries including snowboarding, tech, and fitness.
I started at Hayward High as a substitute before going to Creekside Middle School, then here at Castro Valley High School. In addition to teaching, I am an assistant on the Varsity Softball team, and Flag Football team. I currently officiate junior college football and have worked a number of NCS and CIF State Championship Football games.
Personally I enjoying being outdoors performing a number of activities ranging from snowboarding, to golfing, to surfing, and still play hockey. I know that Physical Education is highly important to a high quality of life as it leads to finding activities that can help lead to healthy lifestyles. I believe that a PE curriculum should be challenging both physically and mentally but also enjoyable; and that students who succeed in PE will also succeed in other academic classes.
I look forward to meeting you and enjoying our limited time that we have to learn, grow, and improve ourselves.
