Edgar Will Helton Award

The V.A.W. Water System, Inc. will once again be offering a scholarship to a graduating senior.

Details  

• This scholarship has been offered since 1987 to students who live on the V.A.W. Water System.  Your parents must be V.A.W. Water System customers with an active account.

• It may be used at any college in the state of Alabama.

• Maximum amount $3,000

• This scholarship can be used for tuition, books, board and on campus housing.

• It is an annual scholarship.

• Although all areas are looked at, this award is heavily based on COMMUNITY SERVICE and financial need.

How to Apply

1. 1. Complete the attached application. (Use neat handwriting and black ink.)

   2. Attach your resume. (Be sure to list any community service activities you have participated in.)

   3. Attach an essay that explains why you feel you are deserving of this scholarship.

   4. Turn the above in to Mrs. Yearwood by January 7th.  Your official transcript will be added to your application at that time.
