Fan Services Associates specializes in the repair of variable pitch axial flow fans. We are currently recruiting Field Service Engineers. Responsibilities include technical supervision of fan overhauls, troubleshooting hydraulic systems, vibration analysis, performance testing, and training available. Work is performed at the customer’s facility. When not traveling you will report to our service center located in South Windsor, CT. Direct fan experience preferred.

Qualifications / Responsibilities

• 5 years of experience working with rotating equipment.

• Required to travel 10-12 weeks annually. Potential for some international travel.

• Competent in balancing small and large rotating assemblies using balancing analyzers.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to respond quickly to breakdown conditions.

• A proactive, ‘can do’ attitude.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and modifying drawings per specifications and customer requirements. Prepare/maintain accurate catalog drawings and digital library for website. Work closely with Division Engineer, Sales, Production and Quality Control to ensure the product is built according to the latest part or shop drawings.

Job Responsibilities

• Create Shop Drawings of products using 2D or 3D drafting

• Create special manufacturing drawings for immediate production

• Adhere to customer (Internal and External) volumes, timelines and expectations

• Prepare, modify, and maintain accurate catalog drawings from existing and new products for production and Quality Control

• Prepare product assembly or shop drawings for existing/new products as needed for sales staff and special drawings for plant projects as needed

• Update/maintain digital database, i.e. Autodesk vault, cloud server, hard-copies and engineering documents

• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience with AutoCAD/Autodesk Inventor

• High school diploma or equivalent required/Associates Degree preferred

• Must possess the ability to read and interpret sketches, construction, and civil plans

• Ability to review and understand contract drawings and specifications

• Proficient in all Microsoft Office

• Basic mathematical skills

• Must be detail orientated and able to handle several projects at once with minimum help or guidelines from department from start to finish

Title: Tooling Engineer for Molds

Job Summary:

The tooling engineer for molds is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining tooling (molds) used in production. This role requires expertise in molds design, materials, and manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and efficient production.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize molds for injection molding and other manufacturing processes.

• Ensure molds are designed for durability, ease of use, and cost-effectiveness.

• Ensure mold designs meet product quality and dimensional requirements.

• Oversee the manufacturing and fabrication of molds, ensuring quality standards are met.

• Work with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components for tooling.

• Ensure that molds are produced on time and within budget.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for molds and tooling.

• Troubleshoot and repair molds when required, minimizing downtime in the production process.

• Ensure molds are cleaned and maintained to extend their lifespan and functionality.

• Analyze results from mold tests, identifying any design flaws and recommending improvements.

• Perform root cause analysis for mold-related production issues and implement corrective actions.

• Work closely with the production team to address any molding or tooling issues during the manufacturing process.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Purpose:

The Design Consultant at Floor & Decor is the entry point into design and is responsible for engaging customers on the sales floor to support their design projects, conduct design appointments with customers to determine design needs in the selection of tile, wood, stone, and accessory products of various colors textures, patterns, and design. • Work in Siemens NX Drafting or MBD (model-based definition) for the development of complex jet engine or aircraft system components and assemblies

• Create 2D concepts, detail drawings, layouts, and 3D CAD solid models and assemblies in Siemens NX, with Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and some Bill of Materials

We are located in East Hartford Connecticut and have an opening for a Staff Technician, Product Definition in the Hot Section Engineering (HSE) Product Definition group. What You Will Do

• Collaborating with Senior Product Definition Engineer to develop Jet Engine parts and systems.

• Create parametric solid CAD models used for definition of part(s), analysis (aero, structures, durability, etc.), manufacturing and inspection of part(s).

• Provide Data management of part(s) information from concept through to procurement.

• Utilize the model to create associative 2D drawings and/or 3D Model Based Definition (MBD).

• Ensure parts fit within boundaries and fit with mating parts considering manufacturing tolerances.

Qualifications You Must Have

• AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with 6 years of product definition or drafting experience.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Proficient with ASMEY14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Strong skills in NX and Team Center tools and processes.

• Strong communication and teaming skills.

• An active security clearance or able to obtain one.

• Experience with Turbine Airfoils is a plus.

Hot Section Engineering (HSE)-Department Overview

Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units. Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.

What Is My Role Type:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 50,000 USD - 100,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Checker. The Mechanical Design Checker is responsible for applying GD&T principles to ensure successful assembly and operation of various mechanical items that include but are not limited to Fuel Pumps, Vapor Cycle Systems and Actuators. • Review drafting layout requirements with the intention of providing assurance of mechanical function.

• Work with Design, Drafting and Analysis to meet the needs of the design requirements.

• Generate and perform relevant mechanical design and review with respect to fuel pumping systems, vapor cooling systems, and/or actuation systems. Qualifications

• Associates Degree with 10+ years of related experience or 15+ years of design checking experience.

• Must have the ability to read, understand and mark-up complex mechanical detail and assembly drawings.

• Must have the ability to understand and apply GD&T fundamentals.

• Must be able to perform complex assembly tolerance studies.

• Knowledge of turbine engine fuel/oil pump design, environmental control system packaging and component design is a plus.

• Knowledge of high-speed rotating systems/assemblies is a plus.

• Strong technical communication skills (written and verbal).

• Ability and willingness to travel

• Capability in 3D solid modelling, preferably UG NX a plus.

• Knowledge of casting and machining principles.
