SAVE THE DATE!!!! 2026 DESIGN EXPO IS SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY JUNE 5th IN THE CHENEY TECH GYMNASIUM!
The MDET Design Exposition is Cheney Tech's annual student design showcase. Students from the Sophomore and Junior classes who will be eligible for Work Based Learning will be showcasing their final projects for the year. All are welcome to join us to see the student work and their final projects.
A meeting was held between the administration and the MDET Department and it was determined that this year we are going to expand upon our traditional showcase. We will operate the showcase for a full school day, and after school to allow families and the public to come see our students hard work. With this change we want to include the senior class in our exposition and due to space limitations in the MPR, we have decided to change locations for this years design exposition. This years expo will take place in the Cheney Tech Gymnasium. This will give us much more space to spread out and present / demonstrate our inventions as well as grow the available size of our audiences.
This year you will also see some special guests! Companies have asked for space to display some of their engineering work AND MEET STUDENTS! This will allow for our students to interact with these companies and meet potential employers while showcasing their work. Colleges have asked for a table to promote their engineering programs too. Many of these schools have attended our previous expo's and have often offered scholarships to participants.
