Welcome To The MDET Department's New Website!
This website is designed to ultimately replace the weekly publication known as This Week In MDET. This format will give parents the ability to see what their individual student is completing in the trade on up to a daily basis. Students will recieve a grade for maintaining their portion of the site and a link will be sent out regularly to remind parents to take a look.

Congratulations Jakoby!
Jakoby Chavez is our latest student to make it onto WBL. He will begin working for Siftex in South Windsor in the coming weeks and continue his employment through the summer and hopefully next school year too. Jakoby has been working extremely hard and dedicating many hours of his day to finding a WBL opportunity. Congratulations to him. He will learn so much on this new job of his, while gaining experience in the field and getting paid instead of coming to class.

Congratulations to Junior MDET student Oliver Moskites for earning his Solidworks Associate Level Certification. Oliver is now the first of many of our Juniors who will be earning this credential this year. In Oliver's post exam press conference, he was quoted as saying, "Those tutorials that Mr. Jordan showed us time and time again really came in handy! I felt over prepared for the exam almost."
We got a new printer!!! The Bambu Labs X1 Carbon 3D printer arrived today. The Junior students set it up and then printed a test benchy just before leaving. Previously it would have taken the MDET Department about 2 hours total to print a benchy. Today it only took 20 minutes!

Congrats to new students on WBL!
Senior MDET student Efaz Ahmed has joined the ranks of his peers on WBL. Efaz is working remotely for Credenzio Studios LLC from the MDET Department at Cheney Tech.
Efaz manages a Community and Moderation Team that designs safe and healthy environments for people to enjoy and meet others. Efaz plans and executes ideas and content for the project, Slayers Unleashed 2. As a Lead Designer he leads a team of 5 members that help execute the plans the Project Manager has.
