~ Digital Age Teaching and Learning
"ITGL students placed with Thread will work alongside Thread’s Learning & Development (L&D) team doing impactful work for a community-based organization that aims to end social isolation. Specific areas of work (students may be able to combine more than one area of work for their extended learning assignment, based on interest and availability).
Learning Design: Create and update training and learning materials, both facilitated and asynchronous; design learning graphics and job aides; and storyboard and author eLearning content, including short videos, animations, and interactive content.
Learning Data: Support analysis and evaluation of training and learning at Thread; store, organize, and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data; create visuals, summaries, and brief reports on data findings; and design new survey and other data collection instruments.
Learning Delivery: Assist facilitators; produce virtual training sessions for volunteers; support materials preparation. Schedule permitting, opportunity to learn and practice facilitating groups using adult learning and participant-centered practices.
-- Most of Thread's volunteer training takes place on weekday evenings.
Applied Research: Conduct research on specific topics identified by the L&D team, and support integration of best practices and modern tools and techniques into Thread's L&D work. Examples of topics include staff onboarding, microlearning, peer coaching models, and competency frameworks."

- For learning design: graphic design and video editing/animation skills
- For learning data: familiarity with Airtable, database architecture, and/or Survey Monkey; coding skills are a plus"
