Solo & Ensemble registration is opening soon! This is your chance to shine—whether you want to perform a solo or get a group of friends together for an ensemble, now’s the time to start planning.

✅ Who can participate: All 7th and 8th grade students
✅ When: Saturday, December 6, 2025
✅ Where: Coopersville Middle School
✅ Important: Transportation to and from the event is your responsibility

Participation is optional, but it’s a fantastic way to challenge yourself, make music with friends, and have a blast performing. Start organizing your group now and get ready to make some music magic! 🎶

Bring your family, friends, and community members to enjoy an evening of music.

Join us for an evening of music as the entire Cedar Springs Bands program, grades 6–12, takes the stage!

✨ Highlights include:

• 🎺 The debut performance of the 6th Grade Band, Class of 2032

• 🎃 A spooky Halloween treat from the 7th Grade Band

• 🏈 Game-day spirit with the 8th Grade Band and the Marching Red Hawks

• 🌟 A standstill performance of The Reclamation Project by the Marching Red Hawks

🎵 Concert Order:

1. 6th Grade Band

2. 7th Grade Band

3. 8th Grade Band + HS Marching Red Hawks

4. HS Marching Red Hawks

This is a wonderful opportunity to see the growth of our band program from the very first notes to our award-winning high school band.

📋 Band Schedule:

• 6:00pm – HS Band rehearsal begins / 8th Grade Band arrives

• 6:20pm – 6th Grade Band arrives

• 6:35pm – 7th Grade Band arrives

• 6:55pm – 6th Grade Band heads to stage

• 7:00pm – Concert begins with the 6th Grade Band

• 7:00pm – 7th Grade Band ready outside stage door

• 7:10pm – 8th Grade & HS Band ready outside stage door

👕 Concert Attire (all bands):

• Black t-shirt

• Blue/black jeans or black dress pants

• Comfortable shoes that secure to your feet

• Cedar Springs Band polo (issued upon arrival)

🎵 Note: The HS Band will continue rehearsal until 9:00pm following their concert performance.

All students are encouraged to stay, watch, and support their fellow musicians throughout the evening.

Cedar Springs vs. Coopersville

This is an 8th Grade Band event only!

8th Grade Band Schedule

5:30pm — Arrive at CSHS Band Room

• Eat dinner before you arrive

• Drop off in the staff lot and enter through Door 13

• Bring: instrument, music, Cedar Gear and/or warm clothing, athletic shoes

5:30pm — Section Circles w/8th Grade Band. Meet/reconnect with your High School buddies.
5:45pm — Music Warm-Up
6:15pm — Stands Prep
6:30pm — March to the Stadium
6:40pm — Pregame Performance
7:00pm — Kickoff — Go Red Hawks!

Halftime: Senior Band Presentation & The Reclamation Project (HS Band only)
3rd Quarter: Concessions available — students must be ready to play again at 0:00 in the 3rd quarter.

Students are required to stay for the entire game.

Postgame

After the game, all students return to the band room for postgame huddle and dismissal.
Before dismissal, the following must be completed:
✅ Band section of the stands is free of all garbage and debris
✅ All equipment to be transported back to middle school staged for transport (it will not go back on a trailer due to marching band competition) 

📅 2025-2026 Band Calendar Now Available

The Cedar Springs Bands calendar for the 2025-2026 school year is now live on our website! You can view it anytime at cedarspringsbands.com, and we highly recommend subscribing so you have every event right at your fingertips—no more guessing or missing dates!

A printed version of the calendar will also be sent home with your student on the first day of school.

This calendar includes all major events, including the 3–5 required evening performances your child will participate in this year. Don’t worry—the first required performance isn’t until October, so there’s plenty of time to plan ahead.

Fundraising Guidelines

With fundraising kicking off for the year, here are a few important guidelines to help keep everything running smoothly:

• Submit one payment per order—either one check or one PayPal transaction—made payable to Cedar Springs Music Boosters.

  • Checks: Payable to Cedar Springs Music Boosters

  • PayPal: Send to csbandboosters@gmail.com

• No cash will be accepted for any fundraisers.

• When turning in your order, place everything in the black box outside the Band Director’s office.
