We now have more details about Saturday’s Homecoming competition! While we do not have a confirmed performance time yet, we know that the event begins at 3:00pm and have received the order of flights and bands. Based on this schedule and some reasonable projections, our estimated performance time is between 5:30–6:00pm.
Immediately following our performance, students will:
Load buses and return to CSHS (we will not be staying for awards).
Students may also be picked up directly from Sparta after our performance.
Upon arrival back at CSHS, students are dismissed once uniforms are properly put away.
A team of parent volunteers will handle unloading equipment, so that students can head home and prepare for the Homecoming Dance, which begins at 8:00pm. We are still looking for a few more volunteers to help with unloading—your support helps our students get to the dance faster!
Thank you for your flexibility and support during this busy and exciting weekend!
Douglas Photography is good, but they're not that fast. Here are some pictures of Game 1, courtesy of H, as well as Media Day pictures of our seniors.
The band room is for current band students only. This is to keep the room protected and keep traffic flow moving efficiently.
The band room doors are locked during Quarters 1, 2 & 4. Please be sure you have everything you need during the game before we march to the stadium.
Please eat before you arrive. Concessions get popular in the 3rd Quarter, and you are not guaranteed food.
Make sure all sections are back in the stands at 0:00 in the 3rd Quarter.
At the end of the night:
The band section in stadium is clean before the entire band departs for the band room. The band room will not open until this is complete.
All uniforms are correctly hung up, stored, and taken care of.
All equipment is put back in its home.
The band room and adjacent rooms (guard, drums, makeup) are ready for next use.

Switching to the college band model, enjoy this past Saturday's show of Wicked. This is the only time I have seen the Michigan Marching Band have a front ensemble thanks to the U of M Percussion Studio.
Did you know, while most high school's and drum corps spend an entire season working on one show, many college marching bands perform a different show every home game. In a season of up to 7 home games, these bands will play 7 different halftime shows.
