Football Game Day Etiquette

• The band room is for current band students only. This is to keep the room protected and keep traffic flow moving efficiently. 

• The band room doors are locked during Quarters 1, 2 & 4. Please be sure you have everything you need during the game before we march to the stadium. 

• Please eat before you arrive. Concessions get popular in the 3rd Quarter, and you are not guaranteed food. 

• Make sure all sections are back in the stands at 0:00 in the 3rd Quarter. 

• At the end of the night:

  • The band section in stadium is clean before the entire band departs for the band room. The band room will not open until this is complete. 

  • All uniforms are correctly hung up, stored, and taken care of.

  • All equipment is put back in its home.

  • The band room and adjacent rooms (guard, drums, makeup) are ready for next use.

🎺🏈 Home Football Game – Cedar Springs vs. Avondale

📍 Cedar Springs High School

Come cheer on our Red Hawks as they take on Avondale in our first home football game of the season! The CSHS Marching Band will be bringing the energy all night long, from pregame to postgame.
This is a doubleheader — JV plays before Varsity — so times may shift slightly. Let’s fill the stands with school spirit!

Band Schedule

5:00 PM – Arrive at CSHS Band Room

• Eat dinner before you arrive

• Park/drop off in staff lot and enter through Door 13

• Bring: Instrument, Flip Book

  • Uniform: black t-shirt, band polo (issued on arrival), classy on bottom (jeans, shorts, jorts, leggings; please keep everything neutral color with limited holes), closed toe & heel athletic shoes. 

5:30 PM – Section Circles
5:45 PM – Music Warm-Up
6:15 PM – Stands Prep
6:30 PM – March to Stadium
6:40 PM – Pregame
7:00 PM – Kickoff – Go Red Hawks! 🎉

Halftime – The Reclamation Project performance
3rd Quarter – Concessions available (students must be ready to play at 0:00 in the 3rd quarter)

Postgame – Return to band room for huddle and dismissal. Before dismissal:

• Band section of the stands cleared of all trash

• All equipment put away

• Band room ready for Monday classes

• All uniforms/components are properly stowed

**JV Game beforehand will have minimal effect on our Pre Game performances.

If you have not turned in paperwork or paid your account in full, please do so ASAP. Paperwork and all fees were due May 31, 2025. Please contact a director if you need assistance.

With fundraising kicking off for the year, here are a few important guidelines to help keep everything running smoothly:

• Submit one payment per order—either one check or one PayPal transaction—made payable to Cedar Springs Music Boosters.

• No cash will be accepted for any fundraisers.

• When turning in your order, place everything in the black box outside the Band Director’s office.
