Pit Orchestra Rehearsals going forward will be in the Orchestra Pit. For Monday, please allow time to set up and be ready to play at 6:00pm. All rehearsals, be ready to play by 6:00pm. 

2026-2027 Marching Band Kickoff

Mark your calendars for the 2026 Marching Band Season Kickoff on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 7:00 PM in the Cedar Springs High School Auditorium!

All current 8th–11th grade students and their families are highly encouraged to attend. During this meeting, we will unveil everything you need to know about the 2026–2027 marching band season and school year, including:

• Performances

• Rehearsal schedules

• Program costs and fundraising

• Important summer and fall dates

• The 2026 marching band show reveal

2026–2027 Student Leadership Opportunities

Are you ready to lead, inspire, and set the standard for excellence in our band program? Student Leadership for the 2026–2027 school year is just around the corner!

Drum Major Auditions will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Be sure to review the attached document carefully for important clinic details and preparation information. DRUM MAJOR AUDITIONS (2026)

Student Leadership Clinics and Interviews for the following positions will be held May 4–7, 2026:

• Section Leader

• Drill Instructor

• Squad Leader

All students interested in serving in a leadership role must complete and return a Student Leadership Application by the end of class on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

Leadership in our program means commitment, integrity, preparation, and a willingness to serve others. If you are ready to grow as a musician and mentor, we encourage you to apply!

Marching Red Hawk Percussion Auditions – 2026 Season

Do you have great rhythm? Want to be part of the energy and excitement of the Marching Red Hawk Percussion Section? Join us for Drumline and Front Ensemble Auditions and be part a dynamic group in the band!

Audition Clinics:
Prepare for auditions by attending our weekly clinics. These sessions will help you learn the audition material, build your skills, and get comfortable with the instruments.

Clinics will run every Thursday leading up to auditions.

No percussion experience? No problem!
Auditions are open to everyone, even if you don’t currently play a percussion instrument. If you’re interested in learning drumline or front ensemble, we’ll help you get started.

Want to get a head start? Join weekly open drumming sessions with Blakelyn Friskey—a great opportunity to get your hands moving and receive early feedback before clinics begin.
