Get ready for some spooky fun! Following marching band rehearsal on Tuesday, October 28, we’ll be hosting a Trunk or Treat right in the CSHS parking lot. Decorate your car, bring candy, and enjoy treats and games with your fellow band members!
🕒 When: Tuesday, October 28 — immediately after rehearsal
📍 Where: CSHS parking lot
Costumes encouraged! Come join the fun and celebrate the season with your marching band family.
With our football team’s continued success, there is now the potential for playoff games at the end of October and early November!
Here’s what that means for the band:
🎺 If Cedar Springs hosts a playoff game:
The full marching band will be in attendance in full uniform.
We will perform our competitive show at halftime if the game takes place before State Finals, and our pop music show if the game is after State Finals.
🥁 If Cedar Springs travels for a playoff game:
A volunteer pep band will attend.
This will be a Cedar gear / stands-only performance (no uniforms or field show).
🏆 If the band qualifies for State Finals:
The band will not attend a football game on the day of the Marching Band State Championships, nor the Friday night before, due to timing and travel requirements.
📅 More details will be shared as soon as we have them.
Playoff schedules are often finalized late Sunday nights—thank you for your flexibility and continued support!
Students who plan to leave a competition with a parent or guardian must complete the Competition Student Release Form before departure.
Release forms are available in the band room.
The signed form must be turned in before boarding the bus for that competition.
Following our performance, students and parents must be seen leaving the event together before the student is officially released.
This process ensures the safety and accountability of all band members. Thank you for following these procedures and helping us keep everyone safe and organized!
We’re bringing back a tradition last seen in 2019! Join us on Monday, November 10, starting at 6:00 PM at Cedar Springs High School as we celebrate our Marching Red Hawks and the 2025 marching band season.
✨ Come ready for an evening of fun, recognition, and memories with your fellow band members.
Freshmen and Sophomores: bring a main dish or a large pizza
Juniors and Seniors: bring a salad or dessert

Douglas Photography is good, but they're not that fast. Here are some pictures of Game 1, courtesy of H, as well as Media Day pictures of our seniors.
The band room is for current band students only. This is to keep the room protected and keep traffic flow moving efficiently.
The band room doors are locked during Quarters 1, 2 & 4. Please be sure you have everything you need during the game before we march to the stadium.
Please eat before you arrive. Concessions get popular in the 3rd Quarter, and you are not guaranteed food.
Make sure all sections are back in the stands at 0:00 in the 3rd Quarter.
At the end of the night:
The band section in stadium is clean before the entire band departs for the band room. The band room will not open until this is complete.
