The Weetbix Try is a fantastic opportunity for your child to take on a challenge in a safe and achievable way. They can experience an enormous sense of pride in themselves after crossing the finish line

CSNS has a long standing tradition of being the highest represented school so keep those entries rolling for another great year at this event.

Early bird entries close at midnight on Tuesday 20th February which allows you to take advantage of a lower entry fee as well as the option of getting your race pack delivered to your door. Race packs for entries after this date will need to be picked up on the day.

Go to https://tryathlon.co.nz/locations/palmerston-north/ for information and to enter. The Palmerston North Event is on Tuesday the 19th March. CSNS staff will be onsite to supervise College Street learners. It is important that you link to the school when you enter.

Tūhono Touch is an idea to give kids quality Touch experiences, rather than just once a year in Term 4. Myself, Cribby and Kylie are involved and will be running it.

Why?

• The kids need access to more quality touch experiences.

• At the moment, touch is not played enough in our region amongst the younger grades.

• Term 1 is our best weather to explore the opportunity.

How will it work? 

• Kids register individually.

• Split off into teams.

• Work alongside your coach for a session then play some games.

What are we aiming for? 240 + kids

• 80 x kids for Yr 5 & 6 (40 x boys & 40 x girls)

• 80 x kids for Yr 7 & 8 (40 x boys & 40 x girls)

• 80 x kids for Yr 9 & 10 (40 x boys & 40 x girls)

Team Names

Each group will be allocated a 'Rangitāne' specific name that represents a range of landmarks or significant sites within the Manawatū region.

About: Sessions start with 20 minutes of skill activity followed by 2 x 8-minute halves

FutureFERNS - Year 3-4

Cost: $35

Day: Wednesday 

Venue: Vautier Park

Starts: 28th February

Time: 3.45pm-4.45pm + 4.45pm-5.45pm

Uniform: CSNS Singlet + CSNS Skort/shorts 

About: Sessions start with 20 minutes of skill activity followed by 4 x 8-minute quarters

Year 5-6 is in Term 4, but look out for Netball Academy in Term 3.

Kick Start hockey programme 2024

Age: Year 3 – 6

This Programme is designed for any Tamariki wanting to kick start their love for the game of hockey

Or just want to dust off their skills from the summer break before the winter season starts. 

This programme is great for both new players and experienced players.

25th February – 10th March 9am-10am with a game day on Sunday 17th March.

$60 per child.
