Please make sure your child comes to school on time well rested and fed. We want them to perform the best they can! ☺️
We will be having Track & Field Day on 4/23. If you are interested in volunteering, please click here.
Reminder: Our field trip to Legoland is on 4/24. Permission slips have been sent home. Please sign then as soon as possible! $1 activity fee is no longer needed. :)
We will send more information regarding what students can bring to the field trip soon!
Reading: Students will be taking the ELA AASA.
Math: Students will be taking the math AASA.
Fridays: Math and Language Bell Work Quizzes
Your child should be taking home their bell work AND grammar packet each Thursday to use as a review for Friday's quiz.
Wednesdays: HMH Weekly Assessment
To help prepare, students should be taking home grammar and reading skills practice sheets that they have completed in class throughout the week.
Your child's login information for HMH, Google Classroom, and ST Math is their 111 number. Their password is their letter password (your Gator will know what that is 😉). For Lexia, the username and password is their 111 Number.
Students may access Clever here to use the learning programs at home. Once they log in to Clever, they will not need to use any additional passwords. If your child is not at grade level in Lexia or ST Math, at-home practice is crucial.
Dress Code Reminders: Please visit the Crane Schools Site to review the district dress code policy. Students who violate the dress code will receive 2 verbal reminders. Continuous violation of the dress code will result in your child being sent to the office to wait for you to bring an outfit change. Only solid-colored sweaters will be allowed in the classroom. Students who bring hats to school must refrain from using them indoors.
*New Disciplinary Measure: Focus on Responsibility
To re-establish a more orderly environment, our team will be implementing a new disciplinary measure related to gum chewing:
First Instance: If a student is caught with gum, they will be assigned a lunch detention on the same day.
Detention Details: Students will eat their lunch in the cafeteria and then immediately report to the teacher who assigned the detention.
Recess Task: Students will use their recess time to help tidy the classroom or learning area, specifically by safely scraping and removing gum that has been improperly disposed of in the past. This task is intended to foster a sense of responsibility for our shared space.
