HVAC

• Enroll in a training program (apprenticeship programs are provided below)

• Programs will take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years depending on the level you are hoping to achieve. 

  • On-the-job training: 6,000-8,000 hours (Paid, hands-on experience)

  • Pay can be anywhere from minimum wage to $20/hour or more

  • Classroom instruction: Approximately 150-300 hours per year. 

What else?

• There are various avenues to go down with HVAC that highlight specific areas. The more qualifications you gain, the more training you will have to complete. 

  • Examples include: Pipefitting, refrigeration, air conditioning tech, solar technician.
