Opportunities & Requirements for CPS Educators

Required Annual Trainings

All CPS educators are required to complete a series of state-mandated, self-guided modules on a range of topics such as harassment and discrimination, mandated reporting (51A), and bullying prevention. You can access these online modules here. Once you have completed them, please submit your certificate of completion to your supervisor.

38 Contractual Hours of Professional Learning

The Cambridge Public Schools offers a range of opportunities for educators to deepen and refine their professional skills, beginning with the 38 hours of required professional learning time included in both the teacher (Unit A) and paraprofessional (Unit E) contracts.

Beyond the 38 Hours - Masters Plus Credits & Increment Credits

The Cambridge Public Schools offers financial incentives for Teachers (Unit A) and Paraprofessionals (Unit E) who continue learning beyond the 38 hours through in-service workshops and/or approved coursework completed outside of CPS.
