Dr. Chad Leith, Chief Accountability Officer

Dr. Leith joined the district leadership team in 2023 after having served for five years as the principal of the Morse Elementary School. Prior to that, his professional experiences had included classroom teacher, instructional coach, and school-based administrator in the Boston Public Schools, principal of the Horace Mann Laboratory School in Salem, MA, and assistant professor of education at Salem State University. A Cambridge native, graduate of the Cambridge Public Schools, and former CPS parent, Dr. Leith earned his Bachelor’s degree in Government from Harvard, his Master’s of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Boston University, and his Doctorate in Culture, Communities, and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Dr. Leith is also a former Peace Corps volunteer who speaks Cape Verdean Creole, Portuguese, and Spanish.
