SchooLinks is the official college and career readiness platform for CPS students in grades 6-12. It helps students and their families create an individualized roadmap to serve each student's unique skills, interests, and goals for the future. Throughout high school, various tasks will be assigned to help students reflect on their strengths and prepare for life after graduation. There is also a wide variety of optional tools to peruse on SchooLinks in addition to the assigned tasks.
Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for Grades 6-12
The tasks on SchooLinks are called Individual Learning Plans, or ILPs.
In our firm commitment to support students to prepare for the next stage in life beyond high school, Individual Learning Plans (ILP) have been programmed in SchooLinks – a set of career exploration and readiness activities assigned to students in grades 6 through 12. ILP activities align postsecondary readiness in three domains:
Foundational Skills: The transferable skills needed for a lifetime of learning and success.
Career Awareness and Alignment: An understanding of the various possibilities for long-term employment and the knowledge necessary to enter and progress in a career field.
Academic and Financial Readiness for Postsecondary: The knowledge and savvy to manage costs and rigor associated to opportunities in college, military, employment, job training, apprenticeship, and gap year programs.

Once you sign up for an event, you will receive a pass in your 1st period the day of the event.
If you are missing class to attend the event, you need to get signed permission from the teacher who's class you are missing. For example, if you want to attend an event during 4th period, your 4th period teacher needs to sign your pass.
Teachers have the ultimate decision on whether or not to let you attend an event.
Please arrive within 5 minutes of the start of the period to avoid disrupting the session. Late arrivals may not be permitted entry.
You can bring lunch if it's your lunch period (and are okay to be a bit later if you're grabbing food). Please have your pass with you for permission to leave cafeteria.
