Introduction

Now that we have investigated Oblique and Perspective drawings, we sill focus on the most common 3D drawing style for mechanical drawings - the Isometric Sketch.

2.6 - Isometric Drawings (ENT)

In this activity you will create a total of 9 Isometric sketches. They will include:

Isometric Sketches of the 5 Anaya Puzzle Cube Parts
2 Sketches (2 different views) of your Complex Snap Cube Part from 3.3
1 Isometric Blue Lego
1 Isometric Red Lego

The Sketches should use the following criteria:

Al snap cubes should have a size of 2 triangle units per side.
Scale the Lego drawing so that it is much larger than the real Lego
Maintain some proportionality
Label Each drawing
Shade the drawings to improve the clarity and depth of the drawings. In this case, Shade the different sides Front Top and Right 3 different gradients. (Sketching and Shading Tips.pdf)
