The Intro to Drafting CAD and CAM course assumes that each student has some background in CAD. In most cases, these skills will have been developed in the Engineering 1 course. However, if you did not take that course, you can still develop the skills you need without taking Engineering 1 and instead focusing on a few quick projects that will provide you will the introductory skills you need for this course.
The two primary projects that will help you develop these skills are the Anaya Puzzle Cube and Lego Project. The coursework, including tutorials can be found below. Complete the projects and then you should be ready for Intro to Drafting, CAD and CAM.
This is a series of videos to introduce students to CAD using Fusion 360 software. There is an initial overview of the software along with basic settings followed by a series of simple CAD model projects to build and practice CAD skills.
In this activity you will model each of the Legos you have been given in this class - Blue, Red, Yellow, and White. Then you will create an assembly and animation of the Legos.
