During this class we will be completing the Introduction to 3D Modeling for Manufacturing course provided by Autodesk Academy. The objective of this course is that we develop the required knowledge and skills to meet the requirements to become an Autodesk Certified User.
Begin by going to the
Introduction to 3D Modeling for Manufacturing Course
Once at the Autodesk Academy site, complete the following steps:
Watch the course overview video.
Review the "What's new in this course?" section.
Sign-in to your Autodesk account using your Autodesk student ID and password. If you don't have an Autodesk account or if your password has expired contact me immediately to get one setup.
Download the appropriate type of Autodesk Fusion 360 software for your computer.
Create a folder named "Fusion 360 - Course resources" on your hard drive.
Download the course resources into the Fusion 360 - Course resources folder that you created on your hard drive.
Unzip the "intro-cad-3d_Course_resources.zip" file. Use the Intro to 3d Modeling for Mfg_Course -resurces .zip link below highlighted in yellow.
Launch Fusion 360 and open the data panel.
Open your IDCC folder. and create a new folder within it named "Course Resources" and prepare to copy the contents of this folder into Fusio 360..
Open the Course resources folder and create a new folder with the same name as each folder that was created when you unzipped the intro-cad-3d_Course_resources.zip on your hard drive.
You will then upload all files to Fusion 360 needed to duplicate what is contained in the Course Resources folder on your hard drive.
Click Submit in Google Classroom when you are finished.
