The left graphs depict how posted speed limit correlates with pedestrian incidents. One was created from a dataset involving 2024 crashes and the other was created from a dataset involving 2018 crashes. It is evident that there tends to be more traffic crashes involving pedestrians with a 30mph speed limit than anything else. This suggests that more attention should be paid to areas with 30mph posted speed limits, especially considering their large impact on pedestrians. Further, it reflects how factors such as speed limit can contribute to incidents involving pedestrians.

In inclement weather, pedestrians are more susceptible to being injured. Data from 2024 reveals that out of all the non-clear weather incident reports, about 20% involved injuries, in comparison to the 14% injury involvement on clear weather incident reports. Of the 20% non-clear weather incident reports, about 25% involved pedestrians, and this number was significantly higher in response to certain conditions such as cloudy/overcast or snowy weather. This suggests that more awareness should surround pedestrians in response to harsh weather conditions in order to reduce the ramifications of traffic incidents regarding pedestrians.
