1) Check your email for a grade and feedback on your Poetry Review: Lines and Stanzas. Use the feedback for this next poetry lesson.
2) Watch and listen to both Poetry Rhythm Reading Notes and What is Rhythm? Videos.
3) Take notes for Rhythm in your Reading Notebook using the Poetry Rhythm Reading Notes video.
4) Open Google Classroom to complete your Poetry Review: Rhythm and submit.

In order to complete your 10-14 Haiku poems, you will need to complete the following:
1) Watch the Haiku poem example video, and the Counting Syllables Example Video (for help with identifying syllables) located above.
2) Look at the resources and examples I have provided to help you write your haiku's in the Week 36- Haiku Writing Resources Folder.
3) Follow the structure of a haiku (located below). (IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THE 4TH GRADE STANDARDS, YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE 10-14 HAIKU'S!)
4) Proofread and double check your work.
5) Turn in your completed Haiku Poems.
6) Email me at djmelia1@cps.edu if you have any questions (also include Ms. Anguiano mmanguiano@cps.edu on any email you send to me)
Please make sure to type your poem in Google Classroom and SUBMIT. I will provide feedback on your poetry writing.
DUE DATE: FRIDAY, MAY 22, 2020
1) For your test, you MUST spell and capitalize each answer correctly. The test ONLY accepts correct answers if spelling and capital letters are correct.
2) You have your notebook available and a word bank on the test so there should be no reason for errors.
3) Take as much time as you need.
4) After you take the test and receive your grade, you have ONE MORE chance to improve your test grade by taking it again. YOU CAN ONLY TAKE THE TEST TWO TIMES TOTAL. Any test after the 2nd test will not count towards your final grade.
5) Last day to complete this test is TODAY Friday, May 22, 2020
1) Watch Supply and Demand Notes Video.
2) Write your notes on Supply and Demand in your Social Studies Notebook.
3) Complete Supply and Demand Vocab Google Form (BE SURE TO WRITE IN COMPLETE SENTENCES AND R.A.P. EACH ANSWER.)
4) Proofread and double check your work!
5) Submit assignment to Google Classroom.
1) Open Flocabulary and open the "My Assignments" tab.
2) Look at the "Done" assignments.
3) Click on Vocab Cards link to view the feedback you received and the grade you earned.
Flocabulary grade is out of 8 total points. Here is the breakdown:
Watch the Video= 2 points
Vocab Cards grade is 60% or higher= 2 points
Vocab Game complete= 2 points
Quiz complete= 2 points

When you finish all four assignments, then head back to Google Classroom and click "Mark as Done" for the Google Classroom Flocab assignment/reminder.
Flocabulary does not automatically tell Google Classroom that you completed the 4 assignments. You need to do that yourself by marking in as done.
In order to do so, you must open the entire assignment in Google Classroom by clicking on the heading that reads" Megan Anguiano posted a new assignment..." Then you will see the option to mark Flocabulary as done.

ONLY SUBMIT ONCE WHEN ALL COMPLETE ON MAY 18th. Do not submit everyday. Only submit when finished and ready to grade, just like at school. :)

Write each word 5 times each in your spelling notebook. If you don't have your spelling notebook at home you can write them on a sheet of loose leaf paper. When you have completed the cursive in your notebook/loose leaf sheet, please take picture of it or scan it, then send it to me so you will receive credit for your completed work. Please email the cursive to rjmcmanus@cps.edu.

We know that everyone is trying to adjust to our new normal. We might feel frustrated, angry, sad, and even happy all through our day. So this week we are going to watch a video on Managing Strong Feelings. This video is for you and your parents to watch together.
